Quaker action against the arms fair – 2nd and 3rd September  Please put these dates in your diary and read https://rootsofresistance.org.uk/action/  In Leeds we will start work on our contribution to the ‘Quaker tapestry’ on Saturday 8th June at the meeting house.

 

Wednesday 4th - No Nuclear Day at DSEI Arms Fair 2019 Announced as part of a week of action called by Stop the Arms Fair.  In 2017 YCND worked with Trident Ploughshares and other regional anti-nuclear groups on day of action to highlight the presence of myriad nuclear arms manufactures at the Defence & Security Exhibition International (DSEI)Arms Fair in London (read report).

Wednesday 18 September 6.00-8.00pm Sabeel-Kairos meeting at Mill Hill Unitarian Chapel, City Square, Leeds  Talk  title is Drone warfare from Gaza to Raqqa and is an opportunity to hear Chris Coles, founder of Drone Wars UK and former coordinator of Campaign Against the Arms Trade.  A leaflet about the event is found here
